ข่าว กูเกิลขยายเวลาอัพเดต Android OS ให้ Pixel 6, 6a, 7, 7a, Fold จาก 3 ปีเป็น 5 ปี

ต่อจากข่าวก่อนหน้านี้ว่า กูเกิลออกอัพเดต Android 16 Beta ให้กับ Pixel 6 ที่ออกในปี 2021 ถือว่าเพิ่มจากสิ่งที่สัญญาไว้ว่าจะได้อัพเดต OS 3 รุ่นและแพตช์ความปลอดภัย 5 ปี

ล่าสุดมีคนพบว่าในหน้า Pixel Support กูเกิลได้ปรับแก้ข้อความใหม่ของสมาร์ทโฟนกลุ่ม Pixel 6, 6a, 7, 7a, Fold เป็น อัพเดต OS และความปลอดภัยนาน 5 ปี (เพิ่ม OS เป็น 5 ปีเท่าแพตช์ความปลอดภัย) เท่ากับว่า Pixel 6 ซึ่งเป็นมือถือที่เก่าที่สุดในชุดนี้ จะได้อัพเดต OS ไปจนถึงปี 2026 เลยทีเดียว

ส่วนมือถือกลุ่ม Pixel 8 เป็นต้นมา (รวม 8a, 9, 9 Fold) อยู่ภายใต้นโยบายการันตีอัพเดตยาวนาน 7 ปี อยู่แล้ว
