We have released security patches for the versions vBulletin 5.1.4 through 5.1.6 to close this vulnerability. It is recommended that all users apply the patch as soon as possible. While most of these issues are bug fixes, there are a few enhancements to the software. Notifications The handling of how notifications are marked read has changed. When visiting the item that triggered the notification, it will be marked as read automatically. This will remove it from your list of new notifications. If you need to view a dismissed notification, you can do so by using the new filtering functions on the notifications page. We're proud to announce the release of vBulletin 5.1.6. It is now available to all customers. All together over 100 issues have been resolved in vBulletin 5.1.6. While most of these issues are bug fixes, there have been a few enhancements to the software. Lightbox Improvements The lightbox for Gallery posts has been improved. The overall layout has been improved with better control placement. This has allowed a larger window and better image display. As we move forward with the development of vBulletin Connect, we are always looking for ways to increase security in the software. As such, we are deprecating support for vBulletin 5.0.0 through vBulletin 5.0.4. This means that we will no longer create security patches for these versions and they will no longer be supported. Over the last two years many things have changed in vBulletin Connect. As such we recommend that all vBulletin 5 Connect customers upgrade to the latest version in order to run the most secure version of vBulletin ever created.
