Today, we continue the beta stage of XenForo 2.1 with Beta 6. This release fixes a number of bugs found since the previous releases.Alongside this release, we have released 2.1.0 Beta 1 of each of our official add-ons. These include further adjustments to account for the changes and new systems present in 2.1 plus some smaller improvements:Both XFRM and XFMG now have basic API support. We recommend that all customers running previous versions of XenForo 2.0 upgrade to this release to benefit from increased stability.This version makes a number of changes to improve compatibility with PHP 7.3.0. However, at this time, we do not recommend using PHP 7.3.0 in production due to a bug that can cause code to execute incorrectly, potentially leading to data loss. With XenForo 2.1 now in beta testing, and a year having passed since XenForo 2.0 became our stable, supported release, it is time to talk about our ongoing support for XenForo 1.5.XenForo 1.5 is now considered a legacy product and is no longer in active development. We will continue to support version 1.5 until May 31, 2019, but after this time no further maintenance releases are planned and we may direct you to upgrade to a supported version in order to provide technical support.Once the active support period has passed, we will only release new XenForo 1.5 versions if security flaws are identified. Today, we are releasing XenForo 2.0.11 to address a potential security vulnerability. We recommend that all customers running XenForo 2.0 upgrade to 2.0.11 or use the attached patch file as soon as possible.The issue is a XSS vulnerability. XSS (Cross Site Scripting) issues allow scripts and malicious HTML to be injected into the page, potentially allowing data theft or unauthenticated access.Specifically, the issue relates to specially crafted text entered into messages and output using the structured text system (used in profile posts and comments).There are no other fixes included in this version.
