We are happy to announce that the 2.0.0 Beta 5 releases of XenForo and our official add-ons are now available to all customers with active licenses. For the most part, this release continues to focus on bug fixes and making adjustments to avoid possible confusion. However, this release does include the new framework for importers. This is still a work in progress and does not allow full importation from any other package at this time. This framework is included primarily so that add-on developers that intend to implement importers can understand how the new approaches work. Elements of this importer framework may be changed in future beta releases. (Note that the import system is still only available in debug mode.)Once again, please...
Today, we are pleased to release XenForo 1.5.15. This release fixes a number of bugs and issues that were found since the previous release. As this is a maintenance release, the vast majority of the focus was an increase in stability. Some of the changes in this release include:Add support for PHP 7.2. Add beta support for importing from phpBB 3.2 and IPB 4.2. Update our Facebook API calls to use version 2.10. Fix an issue where email change notices would not be sent as expected when changing your email address. When loading news feed entries via Ajax, ensure that additional CSS and JS is loaded correctly. When hard deleting a profile post comment, ensure that the related deletion log and moderation queue records are removed as well...
We are happy to announce that the 2.0.0 Beta 4 releases of XenForo and our official add-ons are now available to all customers with active licenses. For the most part, this release continues to focus on bug fixes and making adjustments to avoid possible confusion. To this end, the system that controls editing custom thread fields has been changed. It now uses a user group-based system like prefixes (rather than a basic user/moderator editable choice). This should provide more customizability and reduce confusion over who can edit a specific field. If you are upgrading from a previous beta release, please double check the "editable by user groups" value for any custom thread fields you have added.Once again, please pay attention to...

XenForo Enhanced Search 1.1.7 is a maintenance release for our search add-on. This release adds support for Elasticsearch 6. If you plan to use to Elasticsearch 6 upon its release, you must use this version of XenForo Enhanced Search or a newer version.Elasticsearch 6 significantly changes how data is indexed compared to previous versions. Indexes upgraded from Elasticsearch 5 to 6 will maintain backwards compatibility with the previous index structure, but any indexes created in Elasticsearch 6 can only be accessed using the new "single type" approach. Add-ons that depend on Elasticsearch or extend XenForo Enhanced Search may need to be modified to take these changes into account. Please ensure you test before upgrading to or...
Keeping with our previous weekly beta release schedule, we are now ready to release our third beta, both of XenForo 2 and the official XenForo 2 add-ons.Generally speaking, this release has focused on fixing bugs and attempting to avoid upgrade issues, both for the core and add-ons. Two of the more significant changes in this area include:The schema manager change system will now identify conflicting tables or columns and rename them instead of stopping with an error. If this happens, an entry will be added to the server error log. The add-on install/upgrade/uninstall system now tracks the last step that was completed. If a user receives an error and later comes back to retry that same action, the action will resume from the first...
One week after the release of XF2 Beta 1, we are now ready to release our second beta, both of XenForo 2 and the official XenForo 2 add-ons.Much attention has been paid to the feedback we've received regarding the upgrade process, and we've worked hard to mitigate various problems that have been reported, so hopefully the upgrade process will be smoother this time around. We've also been busy squishing bugs, and many of the more serious or pressing issues have been resolved. You won't find much in the way of new features in this release, as we are concentrating on getting the code to the point where it can be declared stable rather than adding new stuff, but one exception to this in in the Quick Thread system, where it is now...
